Bellevue game two March 25

As the could cover rolled in the Raider men lost their second game against Bellevue. The game ended 2-4 the raider men with only 2.

Brian Corliss and Kyle Pegram had an amazing play. As well a great play between Nick Wilkins and Pegram also had an amazing play. Pegram and Brian Alexander, also had a few amazing plays to keep Bellevue from getting more runs.

Alexander was the pitcher for this game, making for a change of pace from Josh Howard. Howard also made a change, that being his number, for this game Howard was playing under number 15 this game.

The Raider men were a little sloppy and missed some catches they should have easily made. They let four runs they shouldn't have slip by.

The two runs the Rider men made were made by, Trevor Quitugua, and Issac Kim.

Des Santos, took another hit in the second game adding to the to he took in the first game. Kim also took a hit in this game too.

After this game the Raider men have a lot of room for improvement.

Pictures to come later.

Lane game 1 March 25

With the sun out and great baseball weather the Raider men went to work against Lane today. With an upsetting score of 3-4 with the Raider men taking a loss thy are hopeful going into game two today at 4pm at Mount Tahoma.

The first inning was pitched by Elliot Morris who hasn't been able to play because of a debilitating injury in his elbow, however after recovery he is able to start playing again Morris's pitch was clocked at 91mph. Look for more updates on this amazing player.

After the first inning Jake Phillips stepped up to pitch until the ninth inning, he made quick outs with his solid defense staff backing him up.

Until the ninth inning no runs were score by Lane and it was looking hopeful for the Raider men, however Lane then scored four runs, winning the game.

Much like yesterday the Raider men took several hits, two being taken by Des Santos. and one by Deven Kaaiwela.

Points were scored by Santos, DJ Gee, and d'Aundray Van Slyke.

Josh Potter, the Raider first baseman, hurt his ankle yesterday and is on the bench today, with Kyle Pegram taking over Potter's first base position.

Amazing plays between Pegram and catcher Josh Howard. As well as several great plays by Issac Kim in left field. Needless to say Santos also helped in getting many Lane runners out, and made some great catches.

Kudos to Pegram for several catches that made baseball look easy.
And as always there was tons of positive comments made by Phillips.

Join the Raider men for game two at 4pm at Mount Tahoma.

Game 2 SWOCC March 24

After an upsetting loss against Everett in the first game of the day, the men pulled together for an amazing win against South West Oregon Community College.

This game was action packed and I hardly know where to begin.

But lets start with pitcher, #12, Tj Horsfall, who pitched eight out of nine innings. Not only did Horsfall pitch almost the entire game he, with the help of an amazing defense managed to keep the other team from scoring in the first eight innings.

The next player highlight would have to go to #2, shortstop Des Santos, who continually makes amazing plays, by rocketing the ball to first to get the player out.

This amazing game was almost a shut out with SWOCC squeaking a run by in the ninth inning.

Pierce scored a total of five runs today. They were scored by Deven Kaaiwela, Brian Corliss, two by DJ Gee, and Josh Howard.

The Raider men took several hits from SWOCC's pitchers, Santos, Gee, Howard, and Jake Phillips all took a pretty good hit from the pitchers.

The catcher Howard also made a few good plays tonight rocketing the ball from home to second to get a player out.

Look for more updates tomorrow March 25, the Raider men have two more home games at Mount Tahoma HS at 10am and 4pm.
#29 Josh Potter sliding back into first after trying to steal second.
#5 Jake Phillips, #2 Des Santos, #6 Brian Corliss, And # 10 Kyle Pegram talk to the official at 2nd base while #13 Levi Goodin warms up to pitch.

Home game- Everett CC (March 24)

The Raider men are currently in a break between games, after a saddening lose 0-5 against Everett Community College, the men hope to redeem themselves in their second game today against South West Oregon Community College this afternoon at 4pm.

Despite the loss the Raider men fought hard and there was a great sense of team work. For the first few innings the pitcher #4, Ryan Schmitten, threw very well, with his dynamic duo of #2 Des Santos on second and #29 Josh Potter on first, to back him up.

Schmitten has a unique pitching style that is great to watch.

The men today has a great defense, keeping the game fun and lively, however towards the end a feeling of fatigue hit and the men's defense began to look rather sloppy.

However Santos and Potter are amazing to watch work together, with smooth throws and great catches get runners out.

This game was fast paced and kept spectators on their toes.
Come out to cheer on the boys at 4pm today March 24th.

March 10th Home Game

With rain coming down hard the Raider men still managed to go 1-1 in today's double header against Okanagan College.
During the first game, Tj Horsfall pitched an amazing first 5 innings before trading off. He managed to only let 2  points slip by. The men also managed to score 3 points allowing them to take the win. The rain was coming down hard so the game moved a little slowly because they kept having to dry the field.

The second game didn't go as well for our men, with a score of 8-2 in the end. The points were scored by Des Santos, who hit the ball every time he came up to bat.

The starting pitcher Jake Phillips seemed to be having an off day, letting the other team get a total of four points before switching out with Nick Wilkins. Wilkins let another 3 slip by before the coaches brought in Micky Lyons to finish the game out, Lyons let one point slip by as well.

Good plays were constantly made by Santos on second base and Isaac Kim on first. Together they were able to get several runners out before they had a chance to go further and score.

Pictures will be coming soon!
